I worked with Paul as a coach during COVID, which was a difficult time for us as a growing, geographically dispersed start-up. I was sceptical at the start – thinking “how could this white dude understand me, my situation – an Asian female in a male-dominated world?” I stand corrected.
Paul is patient: He listens and he understands. He is sensitive yet not patronising. He doesn’t tell you what to do, instead guides you to uncover the gems under the mess. He nudges you ever so subtly that you are comfortable in being out of the comfort zone.
Perhaps it was his vast experience in the startup world working with founders, or his natural wisdom, or his acute insights into your deepest fear that’s limiting your potential, or having worked in Asia for decades, or all of the above. Most importantly, his passion and joy in seeing founders succeed and willingness to work together with you, instead of on you, that really drew me.
Through working with Paul, I gained insightful perspective, set firmer footing, and started to feel the energy filling in.
